: :Worship
In Mark 12:30, Jesus said that the most important commandment was to "Love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your mind, and all your strength." True "worship" is not just singing songs to God on Sunday mornings, although that's a great thing! Real worship is a entire lifestyle of love towards God... and it's one of His purposes for our lives.

: :Evangelism
Just before Jesus ascended into heaven, He left His followers with instructions to take His message and spread it to the world. This message of Jesus' love and salvation is something we want to share with others - with our friends, co-workers, neighbors, and with the whole world! You and I were made for this mission - the mission of evangelism.

What Every Church Should Do
What on earth are we here for?
Isn't that what we really want to know? What's the purpose for our existence? What are we supposed to do during our time on planet earth? Do our lives matter?
At New Day, we believe that God does have us on earth for a reason! Our lives do matter to Him, and He made us on purpose. The Bible seems to indicate that God created us - as individuals and as a church family - to live out five distinct purposes: Worship, Evangelism, Community, Serving, and Discipleship.
We use the acronym WECSD (What Every Church (or Christian) Should Do) to help us remember these five purposes. As we live them out on a daily basis, our lives become filled with meaning and direction and joy.... something that all of us are looking for!

: : Discipleship
God desires that we continually grow in our faith, becoming more and more like Jesus in the way we think, speak, and act. We were created for this purpose, to become like Christ.

: :Community
In Romans 12:5, Paul says, "Since we are all one body in Christ, we belong to each other, and each of us needs all the others." You and I were created by God to be in relationships. We need each other - to encourage, support, love, nurture, challenge, and help each other grow. At New Day, we want to help each and every member and attender experience rich and meaningful "community" with others.

: : Serving
Did you know that you were uniquely created by God to serve Him and make a difference in the world? He's given you a unique set of spiritual gifts, talents, and abilities and He wants to use them - along with your interests and life experiences - to impact other people's lives. God designed you for a reason, and your life purpose won't be fulfilled until you discover and use your gifts to help and serve others.
