The Amelia Piano Trio, one of America's top young ensembles, has created a student experience that is truly one of a kind. Their world-class musicianship and dynamic and fun loving personalities are combined with true caring for each student. Talented high school and college aged violin, viola, cello, bass and piano players are invited to apply. (Call the Festival at 1-800-662-7097 for information). Students may apply individually or as pre-formed chamber groups. The camp is based at Ripon College and students are housed in college dorms. |

Anthea Kreston, violinist
Faculty, Hartt School of Music; Violinist, Amelia Piano Trio
Violinist Anthea Kreston has received numerous awards for her chamber collaborations including honors at the Melbourne and Banff International Competitions, the Grand Prize at the Concert Artist Guild Competition, and Top Prize in the Munich ARD International Chamber Music Competition. The San Diego Reader stated "...Anthea is a soloist of the Heifetz-Shaham-Vengerov caliber, whose musical instincts could make even a mere bagatelle thrill the soul and stir the senses to a frenzy."

Samantha George, violinist
Faculty, Lawrence Conservatory of Music; Associate Concertmaster, Milwaukee Symphony, Soloist
Samantha George, a member of the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra since 1999, has served as Associate Concertmaster and Acting Concertmaster. She is currently a Visiting Assistant Professor at Lawrence University in Appleton, WI, holding a Bachelor of Music, Master of Music and Performer's Certificate degrees from the Eastman School of Music, and a doctorate in Performance and Music Theory from the University of Connecticut.

Mathias Tacke, violinist
Vermeer Quartet, Professor of Violin NIU
Mathias Tacke was the second violinist of the Vermeer Quartet. Originally from Bremen, Germany, he studied with Ernst Mayer-Schierning in Detmold, with Emanuel Hurwitz and David Takeno in London, and with Sandor Vegh in Cornwall. He won first prize in the Jugend Musiziert national competition, and graduated with honors from Nordwestdeutsche Musikakademie, where he was later appointed to the faculty.

Matt Michelic, viola
Associate Professor, Lawrence Conservatory of Music
Matthew Michelic enjoys a diverse musical career as a soloist, chamber musician, orchestral player, and teacher. He has concertized throughout the United States and internationally as violist of the Kenwood, Da Vinci, and Delos Quartets, and has recorded on the Orion and CRI labels.

Jason Duckles, cellist
Cello soloist, Faculty, Connecticut College; Cellist, Amelia Piano Trio
Jason has received numerous awards for his chamber collaborations, including Grand Prize in the Concert Artists Guild Competition and Top Prize in the Munich ARD International Competition. Jason has also been a member of the Avalon String Quartet and the Aspen Contemporary Ensemble, and has appeared frequently as the cellist for the Mark Morris Dance Group, which tours throughout the United States and Europe. Jason can be heard on the Sony Recording "Enchantment" with Yo Yo Ma's Silk Road Project.

Joseph Johnson, cellist
Principal Cellist, Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra.
Joe Johnson has appeared at venues worldwide as a soloist and chamber musician, including the Grand Teton Music Festival, the International Cello Festival in Manchester, UK; and as soloist with the American Russian Youth Orchestra on their world tour, and the Moscow Chamber Orchestra. |

Rieko Aizawa, pianist
Piano soloist; Faculty, Connecticut College; Pianist, Amelia Piano Trio
An avid chamber musician, Ms. Aizawa has performed as a guest with string quartets including the Guameri Quartet and the Orion Quartet, and she has participated in numerous festivals, such as the Marlboro Music Festival, U.S.A.; the Kammermusik Festival, Moritzburg, Germany; and the Evian Festival, France. She has been a guest artist of Boston's Philadelphia's and Seattle's Chamber Music Society.

Cathy Kautsky, pianist
Professor and Chair of Keyboard Studies at Lawrence Conservatory of Music
Ms. Kautsky has concertized throughout the United States and abroad as a recitalist, soloist with orchestra, and chamber musician, appearing in venues such as Alice Tully Hall and Carnegie Recital Hall in New York, Jordan Hall and the Gardner Museum in Boston, the Phillips Collection in Washington D.C. and the Cultural Center in Chicago.

Stefanie Jacob, pianist
Faculty, Wisconsin Conservatory of Music; Member, Prometheus Trio
M.M. with highest distinction in Piano Performance, Indiana University; A.B., magna cum laude, Harvard University. Stefanie Jacob made her solo debut with the Boston Pops at age 17 and her Carnegie Recital Hall debut in 1984. She was twice awarded Second Prize at the Fischoff National Chamber Music Competition and received Indiana University’s Leo Weiner Prize for Chamber Music. Ms. Jacob has soloed with both the Milwaukee Symphony and the Milwaukee Chamber Orchestra and recorded for the Arundax, CRI, Fleur de Son, Equilibrium and the Wisconsin Conservatory labels. She is a founding member of the Conservatory’s Prometheus Trio. |

- The camp is based at Ripon College (Ripon, Wis.). Students are housed in college dorms.

Transportation to or from the Appleton, WI airport will be available for $25 each trip per student or group traveling together.
Early bird special: 10% discount on total fees ($1,210-save $160!) if application received by February 15, 2009 and all fees paid in full within 30 days of acceptance.

Refund Policy All requests to cancel enrollment must be made in writing. If cancellation is received at least 30 days prior to the session, all money except the audition fee and the non-refundable deposit will be refunded. Any cancellation made less than 30 days prior to the session will result in a forfeiture of all money paid. If a student leaves during the workshop because of illness or documented family emergency, a prorated refund will be paid.

Application Procedure
- Please print out and complete the chamber music application form and have your teacher fill out the recommendation form (not required for returning students). On a separate sheet of paper, please describe your solo, chamber ensemble, and/or orchestra experience, including representative works studied and performed. Please include any awards or honors received.
- Prepare an audition recording (audio or videotape, or CD), which should include two contrasting pieces or movements, each about two to four minutes in duration. Live auditions will also be scheduled. Check the Chamber Website for information. Please include the $40 application fee, payable to the Green Lake Festival of Music. - Scholarships-If you are interested in applying for financial aid, print out and complete the Financial Aid Application Form . If a scholarship is awarded, the amount will be deducted from your final payment. Full scholarships are rare.
